Maayavan director CV Kumar gearing up for his next titled Gangs of Madras

Producer-turned-director CV Kumar is gearing up for his next film titled Gangs of Madras. The film will have a streak of newcomers in lead roles and veteran actors like Daniel Balaji and Kalairasan will be seen in pivotal roles. Gangs of Madras is said to be a story based on a lady gangster in Madras many years ago. Director CV Kumar took to his social networking pages and confirmed this development and wrote a message which read – “By the grace of lord Subramanya starting my next directorial venture with recording today . May god lead us to victory . Wish and support friends.”

CV Kumar made his debut, as a director, with Sundeep Kishan starrer Maayavan which was a cop story. The film had set a lot of expectations before the release but failed to impress the audience eventually tanking at the box office. And moving on with that, CV Kumar is now coming afresh to the audiences with Gangs of Madras which seems to be another exciting and promising story.

Gangs of Madras has been written and directed by CV Kumar himself besides producing it. The music of the film is being composed by Hari Dafusia while the camera is being cranked by Karthik Kumar. Gangs of Madras is said to have a cast filled with newcomers except for couple of veteran actors.

CV Kumar, who is known for producing films like Pizza, Attakathi and Soodhu Kavvum, will look to make his mark as a director with Gangs of Madras after his debut film tanked at the box office. Kumar, simultaneously, is also producing another film titled Titanic Kadhalum Kavundhu Pogum which is being directed by Janakiraman.
