R. Madhavan is gearing up for the release of his upcoming film Vikram Vedha which also stars Vijay Sethupathi in other lead role. The film is directed by Pushkar-Gayathri and is produced by YNOT Studios which earlier made Irudhi Suttru with Madhavan. Vikram Vedha is slated to be released on July 7th, 2017 worldwide and the team of the film has started the promotional activities of the film.
Speaking to the media contingent during the promotions, Madhavan spoke about the film and his experience while working with the team of Vikram Vedha. “This is a team I don’t want to let go of,” said Madhavan when asked about the film.
“The story is set in north Madras and I don’t think the same setting would work in Bollywood. Hence, we ruled out the idea of shooting it in Hindi,” said Maddy when asked why Vikram Vedha was not being made in Hindi simultaneously like Irudhi Suttru.
“I would love to take the film, the entire team of ‘Vikram Vedha’ to Bollywood. The same story can be in set in Mumbai. If everything works out, we could make it in Hindi,” said Madhavan when asked if a Hindi remake would be done.
Vikram Vedha also features Varalakshmi Sarathkumar, Shraddha Srinath and Kathir in pivotal roles. The music for Vikram Vedha is composed by Sam CS which seems to be the highlight of the film. The trailer of Vikram Vedha was released on social media by Shah Rukh Khan and Sivakarthikeyan amidst much hype. Vikram Vedha has Madhavan playing a shoddy cop while Vijay Sethupathi plays a criminal.
