Madhavan’s Vikram Vedha explores the space between good and bad, says director Pushkar

During a recent interaction with Firstpost, director Pushkar opened up about working with R Madhavan and Vijay Sethupathi asnd said that they are terrific actors. He said that Vijay would often call him from the sets of his other films and discuss his character. Similarly, according to the director, Maddy too interacted with the team a lot while preparing for his character.

“Even before we started shooting, Vijay would call us in the middle of the night from the sets of another film to discuss the scenes. He would ask us if he could play his character in a particular way. Maddy, on the other hand, would call us from abroad to understand the back-story of his character,” he added.

Moreover, he revealed that ‘Vikram Vedha’ is a film that revolves around the space between good and bad. As such, it features several grey characters.

‘The film explores the space between good and bad. Every character in the film has shades of grey. You really can’t pin them down and say if they’re good or bad,” he added.

Well, we must say that these revelations are going to go a big way in upping the curiosity surrounding ‘Vikram Vedha’.

In case you did not know, ‘Vikram Vedha’ is touted to be a crime-thriller and is based on the tales of Vikram and Betaal. In it, Maddy plays the role of a heartless criminal while Vijay essays the role a dreaded gangster. If all goes as planned, it will hit screens this Friday.
