Madhoo to play a villain in Bobby Simha's Agni Dev

Actor Bobby Simha’s next film titled Agni Dev has a new addition to the star cast. The film which is directed by Chennaiyil Oru Naal 2 fame John Paul Raj and Sham Surya, will see ‘Roja’ fame actress Madhoo playing an important lead role. Madhoo aka Madhubala will be saying playing a role of a villain in the film. This is for the first time the actress will be seen in a villain avatar and is already leaving us excited. Moreover anything, it will be very interesting to see her share screen space with Bobby Simha. The shooting of the film started in Coimbatore.

Madhoo, who has been roped in for this project took to Twitter to make the announcement on the same. The actress shared a poster of the film welcoming her onboard.

In an official statement, the team said, “We take immense pleasure in welcoming actress Madhubala/ Madhoo. Our entire Agni Dev crew is happy on working with her. As she plays a vital antagonist role in the movie. Await for the action.”

Madhoo has played a prominent role in Mani Ratnam’s Roja and Shankar’s Gentlemen. This is the first time the actress is playing the role of an antagonist.

Madhoo has worked in a few Malayalam, Telugu and Kannada language films. Madhoo is popular for Kuku Kohli’s Hindi hit Phool Aur Kaante, Mani Ratnam’s Tamil hit Roja, for which she even won the National Film Award for Best Film on National Integration.

The film also stars comedian Sathish in a lead role. Produced by Seantoa Studio in association with Jai Film Productions, the film kick-started earlier this month in Coimbatore.
