Mani Ratnam’s Chekka Chivantha Vaanam featuring a bevy of stars including Aditi Rao Hydari, Arvind Swami, Jyothika among others, released at the Box Office last weekend. The film has received some amazing response from the audience and critics alike. It is also setting Box Office on fire. CCV has earned huge in Tamil Nadu. On Thursday, the film earned Rs 8.05 crore, on Friday Rs 6.05 crore, on Saturday Rs 7.50 crore and on Sunday Rs 8.50 crore. Chekka Chivantha Vaanam has grossed approximately Rs 30.10 crore in four days in Tamil Nadu, which is extraordinary. Now, according to reports, the film has found itself in the controversy.
According to a report in New Indian Express, Mani Ratnam lodged a police complaint against a miscreant who made a threat call at his office in Kesava Perumal Kovil Street at Mylapore. The filmmaker received a bomb threat call and when the bomb squad visited his office, it turned out to be a hoax call. Reportedly, Mani Ratnam received threat call over removing some dialogues from the film. Meanwhile, the police is currently investigating the matter and trying to find out the man who made the threat call.
The music of the film has been composed by maestro A.R.Rahman and has been written and directed by Mani Ratnam. CCV stars Vijay Sethupathi, Simbu, Arvind Swami, Arun Vijay, Jyothika, Aditi Rao Hydari, Aishwarya Rajesh and Dayana Erappa. Chekka Chivantha Vaanam has also released in Telugu as Nawab and clashed at the Box Office with Nani and Nagarjuna Akkineni’s Devadas.
