According to a leading website, Mani Ratnam’s eagerly-awaited Chekka Chivantha Vaanam will revolve around the issue of industrial pollution and its negative impact on the environment. Commenting to this, a source confirmed that the film will have a socio-political theme and raise a few important questions.
“A few scenes have also been canned in the premises of Apollo Hospitals, Vaanagaram. If you observe the first look posters, industrial chimneys, one of the significant sources of air pollution, are quite visible. The movie partly revolves around industrial pollution and the environmental hazards associated with it,” added the source.
The source added that Arvind Swami is paired with Jyothika in this one and the two shot for a wedding sequence in ECR a few days ago.
“Arvind Swami is paired opposite Jyotika in the movie, which marks their first-time collaboration. A wedding scene where Arvind Swami ties the knot with Jyotika was filmed a week back in ECR. Four weeks of the shooting have been completed so far, and it’s already more than halfway through,” added the source.
Well, these are some nice revelations and could add to the buzz surrounding Chekka Chivantha Vaanam. In case you did not know, Chekka Chivantha Vaanam is a multi-starrer and also has Vijay Sethupathi, STR and young actor Aishwarya Rajesh in key roles. Unconfirmed reports have indicated that VS-STR-Arvind Swami will be playing brothers in this.
Chekka Chivantha Vaanam is a crucial film for STR as 2017 was not a good year for him. His highly ambitious AAA bombed at the box office and failed to impress critics. In fact, the response was so poor that its sequel was dropped. Following its debacle, its producer accused STR of unprofessional behaviour and claimed to have lost money because of him.
Let us hope that Chekka Chivantha Vaanam helps him turn things around.
