During a recent interview with Times of India, director Mohan Raja opened up about working with Nayanthara in the eagerly-awaited ‘Velaikkaran’ and said that she is a terrific performer who gives a role her all.
“I think an artiste should get into the skin of the character he/she is playing and Nayanthara does it brilliantly. She attends workshops for her films and I am not sure how many others do it. Her experience shows in every scene she performs and our challenge now is to make this film bigger and better than Thani Oruvan. I’ve to do justice to her image,” he added.
Besides this, he went on to add that—just like his other films—‘Velaikkaran’ too features a strong female protagonist. He went on to stress that strong female characters are the hallmark of a balanced story.
“All the heroines have had strong roles. It was not a conscious effort to make it that way. I believe that a good, well-balanced story, by default, will have a strong woman character,” he added.
Well, these are some nice revelations and are bound to create a buzz amongst Nayanthara’s fans. Right folks?
On a related note, ‘Velaikkaran’ is touted to be an action-thriller and also features Sivakarthikeyan and Fahadh Faasil in the lead. Interestingly, this is the first Tamil movie of Fahadh’s career and features him in a negative role.
‘Velaikkaran’ was originally slated to hit screens during the Pooja break but got postponed to December 22.
