Trisha in 'Mohini'

The lovely Trisha is arguably one of the most popular divas in the Southern film industry today. And, at present, she is gearing up for the release of ‘Mohini’. The film is touted to be a horror-thriller and features her in a shocking new avatar. During a recent chat with a leading website, the film’s director Ramana Madhesh said that the basic idea is to show heroism from a female perspective. He went on to add that ‘Mohini’ will redefine Trisha’s onscreen image.

“This story would suit a heroine as much as it would suit a hero. Initially, the idea was to make the film with a hero, but it then struck me that mass appeal is no longer restricted to just heroes. When we thought of heroines, Trisha was the ideal choice because she’s highly talented and is physically fit to do full justice to this character. This is a role with a lot of action. Mohini will redefine Trisha’s on screen mass appeal,”  he added.

He went on to add that ‘Mohini’ is not a typical horror film and will have a liberal dose of comedy. He also stressed that the film does not feature any gore as it has been shot in the most visually appealing way possible,.

“This is not your typical horror film. Unlike most horror stories that usually unfold in a haunted house, Mohini’s story will take audiences on a never before experience ride. We’ve also shot it aesthetically well to ensure it doesn’t look gory on screen,” added Ramana.

Well, we wish the team of ‘Mohini’good luck and hope that it does good business at the ticket window. Besides Trisha, ‘Mohini’ also features Bollywood star Jacky Bhagnani in a key role. This will be the first Tamil film of his career.
