The much-loved Nayanthara is going through a terrific phase on the professional front these days. Her ‘Aramm’—which hit screens earlier this month—has proved to be a commercial success. Moreover, it has managed to impress fans as well as members of the film fraternity. Recently, the film’s cinematographer Om Prakash spoke about working on ‘Aramm’ and praised Nayan’s dedication. He went on to add that ‘Aramm’ is one of the best films of his career and working on it was a satisfying experience for him.’
“When I first heard the story I instantly decided to use a lot of grey colour schemes to show the contaminated and lifeless Earth through the camera with specific lighting pattern, compositions, camera movement for this script. Nayanthara’s costume was also designed accordingly. The shooting locations and conditions were very tough. Instilling fear in the audience mind in the borewell sequences was very important.
I used special lenses and lighting pattern to achieve the real depth and mood. It is always a delight to work with such a dedicated artiste like Nayanthara. Her involvement and dedication is amazing. Director Gopi Nainar’s confidence in the script and his writing made this movie such a special one. ‘Aramm’ gives me pride and a sense of satisfaction that cannot be explained in words,” he added.
Well, these are some kind words indeed and are bound to create a buzz amongst Nayanthara’s die-hard fans. In case you did not know, ‘Aramm’ touched upon the water scarcity problem and featured our lady superstar in the role of a collector. Its sequel is on the cards and will hit screens in 2018.
