Pankaj Tripathi about Kaala: One can learn a lot from Rajinikanth by observing him on the sets

Bollywood actor Pankaj Tripathi—who is perhaps best known for his role in ‘Gangs of Wasseypur’—will soon be seen playing a pivotal role in Tamil superstar Rajinikanth’s ‘Kaala’. And, as expected, he is quite excited about the same.

During a recent interaction with a leading daily, he said that he said yes to the film as he considers ‘Thalaiva’ to be his idol and was keen to work with him. Pankaj went on to add that Rajini is a humble person and one can learn a lot by just observing him on the sets.

“I was curious to know how an actor can be so famous. If I did not sign up to do this film, I would have perhaps met him on set. But now that I am doing the film, I got to spend almost a month with him. Like everybody says, he is indeed down-to-earth. I consider Rajini to be my idol. Who would say no to working with their idol? One gets to learn a lot by just being on the set and observing him. His movements, expressions and skills are unique. Working with an actor of this stature has just been so enriching,”

Well, we are happy for Pankaj and hope that he is able impress fans with his act in ‘Kaala’. On a related note, ‘Kaala’ is touted to be a crime-drama and features Rajini in the role of a gangster. A Pa Ranjith directorial, it is being produced by Dhanush and will hit screens in 2018.

So are you looking forward to ‘Kaala’? Comments, please!
