Thalaivar is back and fans can’t keep calm! The makers of Rajinikanth’s 165th film revealed the much-awaited title yesterday and it took social media by storm. The Karthik Subbaraj-directed film has been titled, Petta. The makers also released the motion poster, which is quite appealing and impactful. The motion poster sees the superstar in a very strong appearance as he enters a church holding a candelabra. The film also stars Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Vijay Sethupathi, Trisha Krishnan among others in important roles. The film marks the Tamil debut of Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Vijay Sethupathi apparently plays the antagonist.
Rajinikanth, who will be seen next in 2.0, a sequel to 2010’s Enthiran, is surely going to leave his fans amazed with never seen before role in Petta. The actor apparently plays the role of a school warden. While fans took Petta on a trending spot yesterday, Dhanush, Rajinikanth’s son-in-law tweeted, “Vaa thalaiva. Congratulations and all the very best to the lucky cast and crew.” Check out the tweet below.
