Arjun Reddy, one of the sensational hits of 2017 in Tollywood, is being remade in Tamil and will star Dhruv Vikram, son of actor Chiyaan Vikram, as the lead actor marking his debut in films. The remake is titled Varma and is being directed by acclaimed filmmaker Bala who recently made Naachiyaar starring G.V.Prakash and Jyothika in the leads. The makers are yet to zero in on the female lead actor for Varma and are currently on the lookout. The shooting of the film began a day ago in Nepal and will shoot important scenes involving Dhruv Vikram. Dhruv Vikram took to social media posted this picture and announced that the shooting of Varma has now begun. It is being expected that the remake might not be a straight adaptation of Arjun Reddy and few changes could be expected to suit the Tamil audiences’ taste. The makers are yet to confirm the release date of the film but buzz in the film circles is that Varma could hit the theatres in October this year.

Dhruv Vikram would be hoping to make an impressive debut with Varma since the film has great content and is already a hit in another language.

Few days ago, it was being reported that the remake rights in Tamil for Arjun Reddy were acquired by Dhanush and he may feature in it, however, nothing much materialised there.
