Indian celebrities are all set to grace the red carpet of the ongoing Cannes Film Festival 2018. Among many, Southern actor Dhanush has also reached Cannes International Film Festival 2018 to promote his international project, The Extraordinary Journey of The Fakir. The actor-producer is currently having a good time there along with the team of the film. Of course, also a proud moment as the film marks his debut in Hollywood.

Dhanush tweeted few pictures from Cannes 2018. The pictures see Dhanush along with Canadian director Ken Scott. He captioned: “#cannes2018 #TheExtraordinaryJourneyOfTheFakir @LRCF6204 @kenscottfakir.”

The “comic adventure”, directed by Canadian filmmaker Ken Scott, is the Dhanush’ first international project and will be released in English and French. It is surely going to be a proud moment for Dhanush as the film will be honoured on May 11 as ‘India Day’ has been organised at the 71st edition of the Cannes International Film Festival.

Meanwhile, Dhanush is currently busy shooting for Maari 2 and has also geared up for the release of his production film Kaala starring Rajinikanth. Talking about his Tamil film Kaala, helmed by Pa Ranjith, Kaala stars Nana Patekar, Anjali Patil, Huma Qureshi, Easwari Rao and Pankaj Tripathi. Directed by Pa Ranjith, the film has been produced by Rajinikanth’s son-in-law and actor Dhanush under his production banner Wunderbar Films. The film is set to release on June 7. He also awaits the release of Vetrimaaran’s Vada Chennai, which will chronicle 30 years in the life of a gangster.

Here’s the trailer of The Extraordinary Journey Of The Fakir. One can see in the trailer Dhanush playing a Mumbai man named Ajatashatru Lavash Patel. Written by Romain Puertolas, the film has been shot in Mumbai, Paris, the Falklands, Spain, Rome and Libya. The film also stars Bérénice Bejo, Barkhad Abdi and Erin Moriarty, and is likely to release on May 30th.
