Actor Jayam Ravi is on a roll currently and has a slew of films up his sleeve. Ravi has Tik Tik Tik lined up for release in early 2018 which is being said to be India’s first space film. Directed Shakti Soundar Rajan, Tik Tik Tik also stars Nivetha Pethuraj in the other lead role. While the buzz around Tik Tik Tik keeps just rising by each passing day, Jayam Ravi has announced his next film which will be directed by a debutante Karthik Thangavel. The film will star the gorgeous Raashi Khanna who is gradually spreading her wings to Kollywood as well. The film has been titled ‘Adanga Maru’ and is being produced by Sujataa Vijayakumar, who is a first time producer in Tamil cinema. Karthik Thangavel, the director, has assisted filmmakers Mysskin, Saran and Ameer in the past.
Speaking about the film, producer Sujataa Vijayakumar says, “With the immense support from the public we have been a house hold name in the Tamil television industry. We would like to extent this success to movie production also starting from this project. We are extremely delighted to work with Jayam Ravi. He strikes the perfect balance between the mass and the class. Rashi Kanna plays his pair.”
Speaking about the young director, Sujataa further adds, “Our Director Karthik Thangavel is relatively a new comer, but has accumulated work experience before making his official debut here. The other cast details will be shared with the media shortly. This is a new beginning for us and we are looking forward to work with many new and exciting talents.” The camera will be cranked by Sathyan Sooryan and the music will be cmposed by Sam CS while the editing will be managed by Ruben.

Jayam Ravi also has the prestigious project ‘Sangamithra’, a period drama, which is yet to go on floors. ‘Sangamithra’ will have Bollywood actress Disha Patani playing the titular role while Jayam Ravi will be seen playing the other lead role in the film. Speaking about the film, Jayam Ravi had recently said that the idea for Sangamithra was conceived even before Baahubali had happened. “I am actually excited to be part of such a magnum opus venture. The movie has been conceived by Sundar anna much before Baahubali but things have fallen in place only now. I will have to bulk my body , almost double. Since the movie is kind of a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, I don’t mind allocating almost one year and a half for the same. Also, it will be released in two parts. From the sets to the creative elements, most of the props are almost ready. I have to get trained in various aspects for the film, which will be taking place in Hyderabad.”
On the other hand, Raashi Khanna has had a great 2017 with a release each in Telugu and Malayalam. Her Telugu film was alongside Tollywood top star Jr NTR, Jai Lava Kusa, which went on to become a huge hit. Raashi Khanna also made her Mollywood debut with Mohanlal starrer ‘Villian’ and received huge appreciation for her performance in the film. “I was really looking forward to the release of Villain. I put in a lot of hard work and I am glad people are noticing basic things like how I synced perfectly with the Malayalam dialogues or that I came across as a Malayalam girl makes me feel wonderful,” Raashi had recently said.
