During a recent chat with a leading website, actor Harish Uthaman recalled working with superstar Vijay in the much-loved Bairavaa and made a surprising revelation. He said that he received threats from ‘Thalapathy’ fans when he hit the star as part of a scene.
“During the shooting, Anal Arasu master warned me that no one can beat Vijay sir, and you are going to do that on screen. He asked me to be careful. It made me more nervous and didn’t know what to do. After the movie released, the fans on social media threatened me and started to ask, ‘en thalapathy melaye kai vechutiya’,” he added.
He went on to add that he ultimately had to tell fans that he has a lot of respect for Vijay and had hit him only because the scene was integral to the film.
“Vijay sir, as a human, is a very big inspiration for me, and who’d like to hit a man like him? So, I explained them all these, and they were okay by then. They understood the reason,” added Harish Uthaman.
The actor also revealed that ‘Bairavaa’ remains a special film for him as its success helped him become a recognisable name.
“I should also tell Bairavaa is an important film in my career. The film helped to increase my mileage and visibility among the common public,” he quipped.
In case you did not know, ‘Bairavaa’ was an action-drama and hit screens earlier this year. A Bharathan directorial, it also featured Keerthy Suresh in the lead and opened to a decent response at the box office. On a related note, Harish Uthamam will soon be seen in ‘C/0 Surya’. As far as Vijay is concerned, he currently has a film with AR Murugadoss in his kitty.
