The latest Telugu film Arjun Reddy, starring Vijay Deverakonda and Shalini Pandey, is being remade in Tamil now which will star Dhruv Vikram, son of actor Chiyaan Vikram, in the lead role. The film will mark his debut as a hero in films and the young actor has been preparing hard for the role in his debut film. And now, the makers have confirmed the director for the remake. Director Bala, who has directed some critically acclaimed films has been roped in to direct the film which is yet to be titled.
Making the announcement on social media, Vikram confirmed that Bala will helm the project and the shooting will soon begin. “Presenting the director par excellence who will present Dhruv to the world. #⭐️ingdhruvvikram #arjunreddyremake ,” Vikram wrote on his Instagram page. While many were happy that Bala will be directing the remake, few fans and movie-buffs seemed to be disappointed with this move, given the kind of films Bala has done in the past. However, fans are hoping that it will be a trademark Bala film and will have much to offer.
Few days ago, it was being reported that the remake rights in Tamil for Arjun Reddy were acquired by Dhanush and he may feature in it, however, nothing much materialised there. Fans of Tamil cinema were hoping they would get to see Dhanush reprising the role played by Vijay Deverakonda but things seemed to have not worked out there.
