Former politician and actress J Jayalalithaa will always be remembered for her strong appearances and charisma. It was recently announced that the biopic on Jayalalitha is in making and is all set to release in 2019. The first look will be released on Jayalalitha’s birth anniversary i.e on 24 Feb 2019. Ever since Jayalalithaa’s demise, there has been a lot of speculations on who can play her on the big screen, if a biopic is being made on her. Now that it is confirmed, there have been lots of speculations on who would play the lead.
Reportedly, the makers have begun with the pre-production and the film has been apparently titled, ‘AMMA: Puratchi Thalaivi’. However, no official announcement about the same has been made yet. The shooting of the film will begin in December. According to reports, the makers have approached both Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Anushka Shetty for the lead role.
Filmmaker Vijay, who has been roped in to direct one of the biopics, produced by Vibri Media, revealed to The Hindi, “The film is entirely producer Vishnu’s vision. When they approached me, I took it up because she was an inspirational figure. Currently, we are speaking to people who were close to her for research.”
After setting up a research team, producer Vishnu Vardhan Induri of Vibri Media, said, “We, as producers, have a vision on what the film needs to be. It will be about vulnerable woman”
