R Madhavan

It is no secret that R Madhavan is one of the most popular names in Tamil cinema today. During his successful career, he has slowly but surely carved a niche for himself thanks to his sincere performances, charming looks and of course impressive onscreen personality. Moreover, he has won the love of moviegoers as he is a down-to-earth and friendly person. Now, Madhavan is in the news again. During the launch of his web series ‘Breathe’, he revealed that the much-loved ‘Vikram Vedha’—which hit screens in 2017 and proved to be a winner—will be remade in Hindi this year. How3ver, he refused to confirm whether he will be a part of the remake as well.

“Vikram Vedha is definitely being remade this year and that’s for sure,” he added.

Well, this is some good news and is bound to create a buzz amongst fans. In case you did not know, ‘Vikram Vedha’ is a crime-thriller and features R Madhavan in the role of a cop while Vijay Sethupathi essays the role of a gangster.  Released in July, the Pushkar-Gayathri’ directorial received rave reviews thanks to its riveting screenplay. Talking about the positive response to it, Maddy had said that it felt quite ‘overwhelming’.

“I know we had done an exceptional film and I knew it was different. But the response has been unprecedented. More importantly, it has been extremely humbling and frightening. I don’t think we expected this to have such a phenomenal feedback from around the world,” he had added.

At present, he is getting ready to begin work on a life about a rocket scientist. Sometime ago, he had revealed that he is taking tips from Bollywood star Aamir Khan in order to prepare for the role. Besides this, he also has the Telugu film ‘Savyasachi’ in his kitty.
