R Madhavan forced to opt out of Hindi remake of Temper due to injury

Madhavan responded to reports that were doing rounds about he opting out of the film and cleared all the air around the speculations of his part in the Hindi remake of Temper.

It was being reported that actor Madhavan would be seen playing the antagonist in the Hindi remake of Telugu hit film Temper which starred Jr NTR in the lead and was directed by Puri Jagannadh. The Hindi remake of Temper has been titled Simmba and will be directed by Rohit Shetty with Ranveer Singh playing reprising Jr NTR’s role. Madhavan has now confirmed that he would not be able to be a part of the Hindi remake and is forced to opt out of the film due the recently suffered injury. Taking to Twitter, Madhavan confirmed about this and wrote – “Hey folks .. So I am a huge crazy fan of Rohit Shetty and his films. As is my son. It breaks both our hearts that I’m not able to be a part of this film because of my injury. I’m well on my way to recovery but this is a huge opportunity and excitement lost.” Madhavan responded to reports that were doing rounds about he opting out of the film and cleared all the air around the speculations of his part in the Hindi remake of Temper.

Simmba will have Ranveer Singh in the lead role while Sara Ali Khan, daughter of Saif Ali Khan, has been roped in to play the leading lady and will mark her debut in Bollywood. The remake, as confirmed, will be helmed by Rohit Shetty who is known for making intense and action films. It is also being speculated that Madhavan would reprise his role from Vikram Vedha in its Hindi remake which was announced recently. The Hindi remake of Vikram Vedha will be directed by the director duo Pushkar-Gayatri, who directed the original, and under the guidance of Neeraj Pandey. The announcement was recently made by the production house Y NOT Studios who had bankrolled the original one too.
