During a recent interaction with CNN News 18, actor R Madhavan—who will soon be seen in ‘Vikram Vedha’—revealed that he is extremely nervous about the film’s release. Explaining his nervousness he said that the audience tends to scrutinise each and every performance in great detail. As such, actors can be ridiculed for small mistakes and be made into an absolute laughing stock.
“They are very aware of what’s happening. If you don’t look like a police officer or if you don’t know to hold the gun correctly or if you don’t talk like one (cop), they will scrutinise you and you become a victim of memes all over the internet,” he added.
In case you did not know, ‘Vikram Vedha’ is touted to be a crime-drama and also features Vijay Sethupathi in the lead. In Vikram Vedha, Maddy will be playing the role of a ruthless police officer while Vijay will be playing the role of a dreaded gangster.
Interestingly, the film’s trailer was released a few days ago by Bollywood star Shah Rukh Khan amidst much fanfare. And, as expected, it became the talk of the town in no time thanks to its solid presentation. If all goes as planned, this will hit screens in on July 7.
On a related note, ‘Vikram Vedha’ will be Madhavan’s first release of 2017. He was last seen in the 2016 release ‘Irudhi Suttru’. Touted to be a sports-drama, it was directed by Sudha Kongara and featured him in the role of a boxing coach.
