Are you a fan of the highly talented R Madhavan? If yes then get ready to rejoice as we have some exciting news in store for you.
His eagerly-awaited ‘Vikram Vedha’ is all set to hit screens on July 21. The film was originally supposed to release on July 7. However, it got postponed due to the theatre strike which lasted from July 3 to July 6. The theatre owners had gone on strike in order to protest the double taxation faced by the film industry. They felt that the 30 percent municipal tax imposed by the state government was not justified and hence should have been done away with.
As far as ‘Vikram Vedha’ is concerned, it is touted to be a crime-thriller and has been directed by Pushklar-Gayathri. It features Maddy in the role of a cop while Vijay Sethupathi plays the role of a gangster. The film has already created quite a buzz amongst fans thanks to its gripping trailer.
Interestingly, sometime ago, Madhavan had revealed that he is a bit nervous about the type of response he receives for his performance in ‘Vikram Vedha’.
“They are very aware of what’s happening. If you don’t look like a police officer or if you don’t know to hold the gun correctly or if you don’t talk like one (cop), they will scrutinise you and you become a victim of memes all over the internet,” he had added.
On a related noted ‘Vikram Vedha’ is Madhavan’s first release of the year. He was last seen in the 2016 release ‘Irudhi Sutturu’ and received positive reviews for his act.
