Rajinikanth and Akshay Kumar starrer 2.0 is one of the most anticipated films this year. The film also marks Akshay Kumar’s Tamil debut as an antagonist. The distributors and trade pundits are expecting this to be one of the biggest openers this year.

Now, finally the teaser relase date of 2018’s highly-anticipated sci-flick has been revealed. The promo of this Rajinikanth and Akshay Kumar mega-budget film will be launched at Natchathira Vizha 2018, Malaysia on January 6, which will be attended by mega-star Rajinikanth.

South film critic and trade expert Sreedhar Pillai also shared the news on his Twitter account, “#2PointO teaser to be released at the #NatchathiraVizha2018, Malaysia on Jan 6, says @Karthi_Offl . @superstarrajini will be there at the event”

Earlier during an interview, Akshay Kumar, who is playing a villain’s role in 2.0 movie, had said that he has never done a role like this in his career. The Holiday actor said, “I’ve never done a role like this in my entire career. And, I’ve never seen anyone doing a character like this.”

Akshay has done many negative roles in his career, however, for him, this is a completely different role. The superstar further stated, “It was a whole new experience to play the role of an anti-hero”.
Rajinikanth, on the other hand, said, ‘’It will appeal to both the global and Indian audiences. Director Shankar has a nice social message for everyone in the film”.

The sci-fi action drama movie 2.0, which was earlier scheduled for a Diwali release, was postponed to next year and is now slated to release in April 2018.

The movie is a sequel to Rajinikanth’s 2010 Tamil blockbuster Enthiran and also features Amy Jackson, Sudhanshu Pandey and Adil Hussain among others.

The INR 450-crore film will also release in Telugu and Hindi.

Apart from this, Khiladi Kumar will also be seen in the movie Gold based on Balbir Singh, who won first Olympic gold medal for India and Padman
