The iconic Rajinikanth is undoubtedly one of the most decorated and celebrated names in Indian cinema today. Fondly called ‘Thalaiva’, the living legend has established himself as a source of inspiration for fans thanks to his charismatic personality, larger-than-life onscreen image and of course his down-to-earth nature. Moreover, he has earned the respect of fans as he is a self-made man in the purest sense.

Now, there is some good news for his fans. As it so happens, Rajini recently made his first public appearance since his entry into politics and made a smashing comment on Tamil Nadu’s politicians. He said that he was forced to enter politics as most leaders failed to do their work or keep their promises.

“I have entered politics because the politicians on Tamil Nadu are not doing their job well,” he added.

Well, this is quite a solid statement and is bound to create a buzz in the political fraternity.

In case you did not know, Rajini had announced his entry into politics on December 31, 2017 and added a new dimension to his career. While making the announcement, ‘Thalaiva’ had said that he would indulge in ‘spiritual politics’ and improve the system.

“Before the state election, we will discuss what we can do, and what we cannot do. If we don’t do what we promise, We will resign within 3 years. We will be running spiritual politics. In the past one year, Tamil Nadu politics has come down to a miserable state. People from the other states are frowning upon us. Even after all this, If I am going to stay quiet, my conscience will prick me to the day I die. This is the state and you are the people who are the reason I am living today,” he had added.

On the film front, he currently has 2.0 and Kaala in his kitty.
