Rajinikanth: You need to make a lot of sacrifices to be a politician and I am ready to do that

Veteran actor Rajinikanth is currently on a spiritual retreat to the Himalayas. And, needless to say, this has created quite a buzz amongst fans. Shortly after reaching Uttarakhand , ‘Thalaiva’ spoke to the media and said that he will succeed as a politician the same way he has excelled as an actor. He also added that being a star, he does not have much freedom in Chennai and feels that stardom is almost like self-imprisonment.

“It’s like spiritual charging. I badly miss my freedom back in Chennai. It’s like self-imprisonment. I want solitude here. I wish to meditate, experience the Ganges. I am 100% sure that I will do my political role well as good as my acting career. You need to make a lot of sacrifices to be a politician. I am ready to do that to serve people. Living for the people is totally worth it. I have to handle it, no other go,” he added.

Well, we wish Rajini good luck and hope that he succeeds in the political arena. In case you were not aware, on the last day of 2017, Rajinikanth had announced his entry into politics and created a buzz in the political circles. While making the announcement, he had he would indulge in ‘spiritual politics’ and reform the system.

“Before the state election, we will discuss what we can do, and what we cannot do. If we don’t do what we promise, We will resign within 3 years. We will be running spiritual politics. In the past one year, Tamil Nadu politics has come down to a miserable state. People from the other states are frowning upon us. Even after all this, If I am going to stay quiet, my conscience will prick me to the day I die. This is the state and you are the people who are the reason I am living today,” he had added

On the film front, Rajinikanth currently has 2.0 and Kaala in his kitty.

Tamil Nadu is so backward because of all their film-star worshipping and still they continue to give these people more and more power .

“Sacrifices” Huh? Sure! How about you start by giving away your wealth?

I highly doubt that. I don’t know why either Rajini or Kamal are trying to become a politician. They should just stick to films. Highly educated in every sense of the word are needed to do something good for the country – not these actors/actresses.

You are forgetting that the ex chief minister Jayalalitha was an actress who did much for TN . So was MGR . Karunanidhi is also connected to the movie industry. We don’t care what the past profession of the CM is so long as they do a good job while they are at it.
