Superstar Rajinikanth’s upcoming film Kaala is one of the much-awaited film’s of the season. Moviegoers can’t wait to catch their favourite star on the big screen after almost two years. While each one is gearing up for the film, we treat you with a candid picture of Rajinikanth sharing a laughter moment with his Kaala co-stars Nana Patekar and Pankaj Tripathi.

You can pinch yourself once more, this is a real picture. Actor Pankaj Tripathi’s team managed to snap a picture of the three extremely talented actors on sets of the movie, Kaala, in Chennai. Pankaj Tripathi plays a policeman in the film. The film is directed by P.A Ranjith and produced by Rajnikanth’s son in law and multi-talented, Dhanush. This is Pankaj Tripathi’s debut film in Tamil. Pankaj Tripathi recently also made his debut in Punjabi.

Besides Kaala, Pankaj Tripathi will be seen in Abhi Toh Party Shuru Hui Hai, an Anubhav Sinha direction and for Tigmanshu Dhulia’s Criminal Justice remake.

Talking about Nana Patekar, who is known for delivering power roles; for the first time ever Rajinikanth and Nana Patekar will be seen in a face-off in P. Ranjith’s Kaala Karikalan. The movie is a political drama set up in the backdrop of Dharavi. Kaala Karikalan is also the first film that Rajinikanth has shot for in Mumbai.

Kaala is said to be a documented story of a don living in the slums of Dharavi. He will play a slum lord turned gangster in the film and is reportedly based on the life of Haji Mastan. The film will also have political overtones.

Kaala releases on June 7!
