Tamil superstar Rajinikanth’s eagerly-awaited ‘2.0’ –which is slated to hit screens on 25 January 2018—may not be able to keep its date with the audience. According to the latest reports, the makers have decided to postpone it to April as the VFX work is taking a lot of time. Confirming the same, a source said that makers want to release it on April 14 to coincide with the Tamil New Year.
“The VFX work is currently happening across 11 studios from around the world. It’s taking longer time than anticipated and since the makers don’t want to compromise on the output, they’ve decided to postpone the release. They’re looking to release it on April 14 to coincide with Tamil New Year Day. Even the distributors feel it’s a very good date,” added the source.
Well, we hope that ‘2.0’ doers well at the box office whenever it ultimately hits theatres. In case you did not know, ‘2.0’ is touted to be a sci-fi thriller and has been directed by S Shankar.
