Rajinikanth wraps up action sequences for his next film with Karthik Subbaraj

After Kaala, Rajinikanth has geared up with the shooting of his next film directed by Karthik Subbaraj. The film also stars Vijay Sethupathi. The first schedule of the film kick-started in Dehradun. Rajinikanth-Karthik Subbaraj’s film is already garnering huge buzz among film buffs. It is one of the much-awaited films of the next year. Now, according to latest update about the film, the makers recently completed filming the action sequences that took 25 days.

The action sequences have been choreography by the stunt master Peter Heins. After the first schedule, the makers will head to Chennai for the second schedule of the shoot. Reportedly, the team will shoot some important scenes featuring Rajinikanth.

It was recently confirmed that Vijay Sethupathi will play a pivotal role in the film. In his latest interaction with radio channel Suryan FM, Sethupathi revealed that he signed the film on a go without even listening to the script. “Thanks to the relationship I share with Karthik, I blindly signed the film.”

On teaming up with Rajinikanth, Subbaraj had said in a chat with Sun TV: “Even though I’ve made four films in my career so far, I grew fascinated towards cinema because of superstar Rajinikanth sir. To get to direct him is the best moment of my life,” Subbaraj said, adding that he plans to go on the floors in next two months and wrap up the project this year itself. Asked if the project will be as ambitious as Sun Pictures produced Enthiran in terms of scale, Subbaraj said his film will be quite different from Enthiran. “It’ll be a proper Rajini film,” he said. He also sees collaborating with the superstar will come with its set of expectations and high responsibility. “I see it as an enjoyable challenge.”

Bankrolled by Sun Pictures, the film also features Simran, Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Bobby Simha.
