Rajinikanth's 2.0 release pushed to 2019 for this reason?

Rajinikanth’s 2.0, the sequel to his much-celebrated sci-fi film Robot, is one of the much-awaited films of the year. The film also stars Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar and Amy Jackson. It is touted to be one of the biggest movies in the history of Indian cinema. The film has hit headlines ever since it was announced. However, something that has disappointed each one is the delayed release of the film. The release of the film is the big question mark.

The film was initially planned to release in May 2018 but got postponed to August. Now, according to reports, the release date of the film is likely to be shifted to 2019. Reportedly, due to pending post-production work, the release of the film might be pushed to next year. The makers are re-working certain portions of the film. 2.0 will reportedly clash with Hrithik Roshan’s Super on Republic Day in 2019.

Nation’s costliest 3D film starring Superstar Rajinikanth, Akshay Kumar, Amy Jackson, is directed by Shankar and music by AR Rahman. The high-tech post-production works are fully geared and the team is all set to lock the release date. Besides all other reasons, the film has grabbed all the attention over the star cast comprising of superstar Rajinikanth and Akshay Kumar.

2.0 is a sequel to Rajinikanth-Shankar’s Enthiran, which is about an AI robot called Chitti.

Well, this is a very disappointing news for Rajinikanth fans. Now it remains to see what the makers are up to over the release of 2.0. What do you think about the film being postponed again? Share your views in the comments section below.

Meanwhile, Rajinikanth’s Kaala has hit the screens and is receiving a positive response from all over. The film has already crossed Rs 100 crore mark worldwide and is expected to do great business in South in the coming days.
