Rajinikanth’s Kaala has not found buyers in Telugu and here’s why

According to the latest reports, the Telegu version of Rajinikanth’s eagerly-awaited Kaala has not found too many buyers in the Telugu sates. And, not surprisingly, this has ruffled a few feathers. Apparently, he makers are demanding Rs 40 crore for the theatrical rights, however, buyers feel that this is too high a demand. It seems that they feel that Rs 33 crore is the right price but the makers feel that this figure does not do justice to Rajini’s star image.

Well, this is a developing situation and it will be worth watching what happens next.

In case you are not aware, Kaala is touted to be a crime-drama and has been directed by Pa Ranjith. In it, ‘Thalaiva’ will be seen in the role of a ferocious gangster and sporting a rustic look. A significant part of the film has been shot in Mumbai and it may have some dialogues in Hindi. Besides Rajinikikanth, it also has Bollywood star Huma Qureshi and veteran Nana Patekar in the lead.

Sometime ago, Huma had said Rajini is a terrific person to work with as he is quite humble

“It’s an amazing experience to work with Rajinikanth. When he walks, everybody becomes silent and make space for him. For me, the most beautiful thing with him is the simplicity he carries. He is such a humble person. I have never seen a superstar who is so humble, who is so simple and down-to-earth,” she had told a leading daily.

Kaala will hit screens in April.

On a related note, this is a busy time for Rajini. Besides Kaala, he also has 2.0 in his kitty. It is a sci-fi thriller and is a sequel to Enthiran. In it, Rajini will be seen reprising his Chitti   character from the first part.
