If reports are to be believed, then Super Star Rajinikanth’s upcoming film with director Shankar, Robo 2.0 is on the way to beat the records set by Baahubali 2. Baahubali 2 was released in a record 6000 screens in India and more number of screens across the globe. The film was released in four languages – Telugu, Tamil, Hindi and Malayalam. Robo 2.0 will now surpass these feats and will be released in 15 different languages across the world.
According to emerging reports, Robo 2.0 is being planned to be dubbed into major international languages like Japanese, Chinese and Korean. The post-production works of the film is currently in progress and is gearing up for a release in January 2018. A studio in Canada is also working on the VFX aspects of Robo 2.0 and is touted to be heavy on graphics.
The prequel to 2.0, Robo was a magnificent success in all the languages that it was released and keeping that in mind, the makers are planning to release the sequel in more number of languages. Starring Rajinikanth in the lead roles, Robo 2.0 will also feature Amy Jackson as the female lead.
Besides Robo 2.0, Rajinikanth also has Kaala Karikaalan in the making currently which will probably be released before the end of this year. The film is being directed by Pa Ranjith and currently being shot in Mumbai. With an ensemble cast of Nana Patekar, Huma Qureshi and Anjali Patil, Kaala will be another gangster war film which will have the Super Star play the titular role.
