That Bollywood film Queen is being remake in all the four South Indian languages is something we all are aware by now. All the four remakes are being produced by Mediente Films jointly by actress Parul Yadav who would be seen in the Kannada remake of the film. The Telugu remake features Tamannaah Bhatia while the Malayalam one stars Manjima Mohan. The Tamil remake features Kajal Aggarwal in the lead role and is being directed by Ramesh Arvind, who is also directing the Kannada remake. Speaking about Ramesh Arvind, Kajal Aggarwal says that his vast experience as an actor has helped immensely during the shooting.
“Because he is an actor, he is able to introduce subtle nuances in a beautiful manner. He tries to make each and every scene as realistic as possible. In that way, he has been able to get the best out of me,” Kajal was quoted as saying by Deccan Chronicle.
Speaking about the original film, Kajal says, “I watched Queen and was totally engrossed by Kangana’s performance. The story is about a girl and her metamorphosis from a larva into a butterfly. I have been wanting to do such a role for long.”
Kajal, who has worked in more than 50 films in South cinema and has stayed here for more than 10 years, says that she is happy and proud to be part of the Tamil remake of Queen. “I am proud to be part of the Tamil remake,” adds Kajal. The makers recently wrapped up a schedule in Mysore which had all the four actresses shooting for their respective scenes at the airport.
The Telugu remake of Queen, titled Queen Again, is being directed by Prashanth Varma who recently took over the project from Neelakanta who opted out of the project due to unknown reasons.
