Rana Daggubati reveals the MGR connection to his Tamil film Naan Aanayittal

The actor recently released the trailer of his upcoming Tamil film Naan Anayittal, which is Nene Raju Nene Mantri in Telugu.

After super success of his recent films Ghazi and Baahubali, ​actor​ Rana ​Daggubati is all set to enthrall the Tamil audience once again and this time in a new avatar as Jogendra in ‘Naan Anayittal’, which is the Tamil version of his upcoming Telugu film Nene Raju Nene Mantri.

After releasing the trailer of Naan Anayittal, Rana spoke about the connection of this film with yesteryear legendary actor, MGR. Rana said, “The Tamil film title is inspired from a super hit song from the timeless matinee-idol and charismatic leader MGR’s blockbuster film ‘Enga Veettu Pillai’, a remake of ‘Ramudu Bheemudu’ the first movie produced by my grandfather – movie moghul D. Rama Naidu in 1964. It’s very special for me as it brings memoirs of 2 of the greatest icons of the film industry who continue to inspire me.”

Shot in the picturesque locales of Karaikudi and in other parts of South India ‘Naan Anayittal’ is a film about its protagonist Jogendra’s attitude and his thought provoking character played by Rana Daggubati.

The Makers of the film believe ‘Naan Anayittal’ has a strong mass appeal that will surely connect with Tamil audiences. Besides Nassar’s pivotal role in the film the movie brings together a line-up of highly popular actors Kajal Aggarwal, Catherine Tresa, Navadeep and Ashutosh Rana.

Directed by Teja, ‘Naan Aanayittal‘ is produced by Suresh Daggubati, CH Bharath Chowdhary and V Kiran Reddy under Suresh Productions and Blue Planet Entertainments. The music of Nene Raju Nene Mantri/Naan Anayittal is composed by Anup Rubens.
