A while ago, it was reported that Akshay Kumar would be skipping the audio launch of ‘2.0’ because of differences with Tamil superstar Rajinikanth. And, as expected, this created quite a buzz amongst movie buffs. Now, it seems that those reports were baseless. According to a leading daily, Akki-Rajinikanth are on good terms and respect each other a lot. In fact, the two may even make a grand entry together during the audio launch. Confirming the same, an AD said that the rumours were totally rubbish.
“They respect each other’s craft, and value each other personally and professionally. [Also] when there are biggies involved in a film, it is the audience that thinks that there is a clash. Or maybe, there are people who don’t want this movie to be a hit, and that’s why these constant rumours keep emerging,” added the AD.
The source also revealed that Akshay and Rajinikanth got along very well during the shoot and had a great time.
“They enjoyed doing the action and dance sequences. They were either making fun or having fun on the set. Whenever a scene was given to them, they never had the time to go and think about politics; rather they were always focused on what they wanted do in the shot, to make it the best,” added the AD
On a related note, ‘2.0’ is a sequel to the 2010 release ‘Enthiran’ and has been directed by S Shankar. If all goes as planned, it will hit screens in January 2018.
