Sayyeshaa and Arya will make a terrific pair in Ghajinikanth and here’s the proof

In 2015, the lovely Sayyeshaa made her big screen debut with ‘Akhil’ and began a new chapter in life. Unfortunately, the film bombed at the box office and failed to impress critics. Thereafter, in 2016, she entered Bollywood with the Ajay Devgn starrer ‘Shivaay’ which did reasonably well at the box office. Earlier this year, she entered K-Town with ‘Vanamagan’ and added another feather to her cap. An action-adventure drama, it opened to a decent response at the box office and helped her become the newest heartthrob of Tamil cinema. At present, she is busy shooting for the oddly titled ‘Ghajinikanth’. The film has already created some curiosity amongst movie buffs. And, now, the buzz surrounding the film is set to receive a shot in the arm. As it so happens, a pic from a song shoot in Thailand is creating a buzz on social media. In it, Sayyeshaa can be seen alongside her co-star Arya. And, as expected, they make a good pair. While Arya looks his usual funky self, Sayyeshaa can be seen in a cool outfit that she carries off like a boss. That’s what you call making an impact! We are sure that this fresh pair will create magic on the big screen.

In case you did not know, ‘Ghajinikanth’ is being directed by Santosh P Jayakumar and its poster was released on Arya’s birthday. In it, the star was seen in an avatar similar to the one sported by Rajinikanth in ‘Dharmathin Thalaivan. And, not surprisingly, this look received flak from Thalaiva fans.

Sometime ago, while talking about the film, Arya had told a leading daily that it is not an adult-comedy and asked fans to refrain from drawing any conclusions based on the title alone.

“My movie is not an adult content movie. It’s a breezy rom-com with the working title Ghajinikanth. Also, please don’t come to any conclusion with the title. I play an IT guy and it is all about romance and humour and they are situational comedy. I loved Santhosh’s sense of humour when he gave me the narration. The film will be on the lines of Boss Engira Bhaskaran and Raja Rani,” he had added.

Well, we wish the team of ‘Ghajinikanth’ good luck and hope that it does well at the box office.

Interestingly, Arya has also been in the news of late because of his announcement about his marriage. Sometime ago, the ‘Yatchan’ star had posted a video and said that he was looking for a bride. And, this led to speculation of it being a promotional strategy for a reality show. We will just have to wait and watch what happens on that front.

On a related note, this is a busy time for Sayyeshaa. Besides ‘Ghajinikanth’, he also has ‘Junga’ and a film with Karthi in her kitty.

‘Junga’ is a Gokul directorial and also features Vijay Sethupathi in the lead. In it, Sayyeshaa will be seen in a glamorous avatar. As far as the Karthi film is concerned, it is being directed by Pandiraj and will see the lovely lady in a de-glam look.

Sometime ago, Sayyeshaa had said that working with Karthi and Sethupathi is a terrific learning experience for her.

“Both Junga and the film with Karthi are extremely different. Junga has me in a very westernised and glamourous role whereas other one sees me in a de-glam avatar. That is something I haven’t done before. All of my roles earlier have seen me in western looks but this film is very Indian, which is who I am at heart. I am very simple and homely. Pandiaraj sir’s film has given the chance to show that I can be both. Vijay Sethupathi sir is a phenomenal actor. I learn a lot from the scenes I do with him. He is always there with some good advice. On the other hand, Karthi is very astute in his judgement. He is very into the film and he makes sure everything is going right,” she had told a leading daily.

So, are you looking forward to ‘Ghajinikanth’? Comments, please!
