Rajinikanth’s Kaala has released today at the Box Office and is receiving rave response from all the corners of the country. As earlier we reported, the superstar, yesterday, headed to Dehradun for the shooting of his next film directed by Karthik Subbaraj. The film also stars Vijay Sethupathi.

Well, finally the makers of the film commenced the shooting from today and have shared the first glimpse of the superstar from the sets. The team is seen posing for a group image as they begin with the shoot.

Take a look:

Rajinikanth’s daughter Soundarya officially announced that the superstar has headed to Dehradun for the shooting of his next film directed by Karthik Subbaraj.

She tweeted, “Right now from Poes Garden … our Thalaivar is off to start filming his next .. #MultipleRoles #One&OnlyThalaivar #KaalaFromJune7th.”

However, many were confused with Soundarya’s tweet and assumed that Rajinikanth will be playing multiple roles in the film. Soundarya Rajinikanth had to make a clarification in her next tweet that she was talking about multiple roles in real life and not in films.

She clarified the misunderstanding saying, “#MultipleRoles —— I meant in life not in the film .. regarding the movie @karthiksubbaraj will talk when it’s the right time !”

It was recently confirmed that Vijay Sethupathi will play a pivotal role in the film. In his latest interaction with radio channel Suryan FM, Sethupathi revealed that he signed the film on a go without even listening to the script. “Thanks to the relationship I share with Karthik, I blindly signed the film.”

On teaming up with Rajinikanth, Subbaraj said in a chat with Sun TV: “Even though I’ve made four films in my career so far, I grew fascinated towards cinema because of superstar Rajinikanth sir. To get to direct him is the best moment of my life,” Subbaraj said, adding that he plans to go on the floors in next two months and wrap up the project this year itself. Asked if the project will be as ambitious as Sun Pictures produced Enthiran in terms of scale, Subbaraj said his film will be quite different from Enthiran. “It’ll be a proper Rajini film,” he said. He also sees collaborating with the superstar will come with its set of expectations and high responsibility. “I see it as an enjoyable challenge.”

Meanwhile, Kaala
