When superstars of different film industries collaborate and come up with a film shot on a monstrous budget, speculations are always high about the progress of the film. And more so if the makers try to keep everything under the wraps.
Earlier it was Baahubali that went through this litmus test and now it is Shankar’s upcoming film with Super Star Rajinikanth 2.0 that is going through the same phase. Being made on a mammoth budget of INR 450 crore, this film will see Akshay Kumar play a baddie and mark his debut in Tamil films. The first look of Akshay Kumar in 2.0 as a scientist was terrific and the excitement around the film is already running high.
A photograph of Akshay Kumar with Vijay, Vikram and Shankar is doing rounds on social media which created speculations that Shankar might be coming up with a film with all the four actors. Rumours started doing rounds that Shankar is going to direct a film with Akshay in Hindi and will have Vikram and Vijay also as the lead roles. And none of them are true.
Director of 2.0 Shankar hosted a party for Akshay Kumar who won the National Award for Rustom. The party was attended by Vijay, Vikram and Prabhu Deva who have acted in Shankar’s previous films as lead actors. Now, that clears all the air.
Shankar is currently working on motion capture parts of 2.0 which is being handled by a VFX Studio – The Sawmill, located in Vancouver, Canada. This VFX studio has previously worked on both the parts of Baahubali.
