Shruti Haasan has been preparing very hard for her role in upcoming film in Tamil, which is titled Sangamithra. The film is being directed by Sundar C, husband of actor-policitican Khushboo. Sangamithra is being filmed on huge budget and is on the track to beat Baahubali as well. The production part of the film is being taken care of by Thenandal Studios Limited.
The makers haven’t yet decided on the release date of Sangamithra but recent developments suggest that the promotion strategy of the film is going to be on par with Baahubali. Thenanal Studios will unveil the logo of Sangamithra at the Cannes Film Festival this year, which is happening in France.
“Thenandal is very honored to launch the title of Sangamithra on the opening night of the 70th Cannes Film Festival in France. This is a very special project for us. It is a larger than life period film starring Jayam Ravi, Shruti Haasan and Arya. It is a very challenging project and we are honored that Rahman sir is on board. The captain of the ship is Sundar C with whom we have had fantastic associations with. It is a very very important film in all our careers. It is an honor for us to be launching the opening night in Cannes,” said Murali Ramaswamy of Thenandal Studios.
Sangamithra will feature Shruti Haasan in the titular role besides Arya and Jayam Ravi in the lead roles. The tunes in the film will be rendered by A R Rahman.
