Actor Silambarasan aka Simbu, the other day, called for a press conference stating he wanted to make few statements about the ongoing protests about Cauvery water management, Sterlite Protests and the IPL matches. The media contingent was present in a huge number expecting a statement which may create ripples instead got something that they were kept pondering about for a long time. Simbu spoke about the Cauvery Water Management board and during his speech about it, he kept asking from his team about the topic and kept pausing before speaking, reports reveal. Few media reports reveal that Simbu, during his speech, said that Kalam asked the Chennai Super Kings IPL team players to wear black bands supporting the protest, which was actually said by Rajinikanth and not Kalam. Media reports suggest that Simbu was clearly not prepared for his speech and neither was he aware of what was happening in the Cauvery and the Sterlite protest issue.
Tamil film actors, Nadigar Sangham on Sunday made a silent protest urging the central government to form a Management Board for the Cauvery river which has been long pending. The superstar also added that the players of the Chennai Super Kings IPL team should wear black bands around their arms to display their support to the protest for the Cauvery water.
