Speculations about Gautami’s daughter Subhalaxmi making her debut opposite Chiyan Vikram’s son Dhruv in Varma have finally come to a full-stop. There were rumors that she will be essaying the role of the female lead in the Tamil remake of Telugu movie Arjun Reddy. Gautami clarified that her daughter Subhalaxmi is still pursuing her studies and does not plan to join films as of now.
Gautami took to Twitter to clarify the same. She tweeted, ‘Taken aback to see news about my daughter’s acting debut. Subhalaxmi is committed to her studies and has no plans for acting now. Thank you all for your blessings on her’.
The makers have not yet announced the leading lady for the film. There are also reports that Shalini Pandey has been roped in for the movie considering her stupendous performance in Arjun Reddy.
Gautami was recently in the news after she revealed the reason behind her split with Kamal Hassan. She detailed it in her blog post. She also had made allegations that Kamal Hassan’s production company failed to pay the salary for her work in his films.
Meanwhile, the shooting of Varma is going on a swift pace. The movie wrapped up its first schedule in Nepal last week. Varma will mark Dhruv’s debut in Kollywood.
He will be seen reprising the role of Vijay Deverakonda. The film is directed by Bala who is known for films like Sethu, Pithamagan, Pardesi, and Nachiyar. Varma is bankrolled under the banner E4 Entertainment which produced Malayalam movies Godha and Ezhra, and the dialogues have been penned by the National Award winning director Raju Muruga.
Arjun Reddy was a Telugu path-breaking flick directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga which became a blockbuster of 2017. The makers are planning to release the film by the end of this year.
