Tamil actor Vikram’s son Dhruv was arrested in a car accident after his car allegedly driven by him rammed into three parked autorickshaws. The incident took place in Chennai’s Teynampet area on Sunday morning. However, he was later released on bail. Reportedly, the injured was taken to the hospital. A case has been filed under Section 279 (Rash driving or riding on a public way) and 337 (Causing hurt by act endangering life or personal safety of others) of the IPC.
According to media reports, the accident took place on the TTK Road at around 3.50am. As per police reports, it is not a case of drink and drive. A member of the Adyar traffic investigations wing said, “This is not a case of drunken driving. We have ruled it out.” The video of the accident has gone viral on the social media, which sees Dhruv’s friends arguing with the police. Thet refuse to get into the police vehicle. One of the friends is also seen trying to call someone and asks the person shooting the video to stop filming him.

“While returning from a friend’s house on early Sunday morning, Dhruv’s car crashed into autorickshaws. One person was injured in the accident and he was immediately rushed to the hospital. He was treated for his injuries and later discharged. We would like to clarify that the accident happened only due to lack of attention behind the wheels and no other reason,” Deccan Chronicle quoted a statement from Vikram’s manager Suryanarayanan.
Meanwhile, Vikram’s son Dhruv has geared up for his debut in Tamil industry. The film will be a remake of Vijay Deverakonda’s hit Telugu film, Arjun Reddy. The film is being directed by Bala, who has worked with Vikram on multiple films and is titled Varma. The film will also star Raiza Wilson of Pyaar Prema Kaadhal. The actor will play a pivotal part in this film.
