Lyricist and writer Madhan Karky is a popular name in Tamil cinema and has penned down a lot of songs which have become super hit numbers. Madhan karky was also one of the writers who helped director SS Rajamouli in creating the Kilikili language in Baahubali which was widely appreciated. The writer and lyricist has done something that many may not attempt to do.
Madhan Karky has penned down the lyrics of a song in Telugu which will be in the music album of Mahesh Babu starrer SPYder. Composed by Harris Jayaraj, the music of SPYder will have lyrics written by Ramajogaiah Sastry and this one single will have lyrics by Madhan Karky. Taking to social media and making this announcement, Madhan Karky wrote – “Penned my first Telugu song for @urstrulyMahesh’s #Spyder. Big thanks to Director @ARMurugadoss & @Jharrisjayaraj for trusting in me.”

Directed by Murugadoss, “Spyder” marks his first-time collaboration with Mahesh. It is slated to release on September 27. The film is a bilingual, shot in Tamil and Telugu, and also stars Rakul Preet Singh, Bharath and SJ Suryah.
This trend of writing lyrics for a song in a different language is catching up in South Indian film industry lately. Telugu lyricist Ramajogaiah Sastry too recently wrote lyrics for a Tamil song titled Kadhal Konden which was sung by Hema Chandra. And now this attempt by Madhan Karky will be another trend that will soon catch up across the South Indian cinema and will have lyricists writing songs for different languages.
