After much speculation about who will feature in Tamil remake of Bollywood hit ‘Queen’ and who would direct it, the makers today confirmed the title and the director of the film. The film is titled ‘Paris Paris’ and will be directed by popular South Indian actor and filmmaker Ramesh Arvind. Coincidentally, Ramesh Arvind is also directing the Kannada remake of ‘Queen’ which stars Parul Yadav in the role played by Kangana Ranaut. The remake of Queen in the South Indian languages is being produced by Manu Kumaran under the banner ‘Mediente Films’.

The Telugu remake of Queen will feature Tamannaah Bhatia in the lead role, recent reports had revealed. The makers are yet to confirm details about the Telugu remake of Queen. The Tamil remake, which will have feature Kajal Aggarwal reprising Kangana Ranaut’s role, might soon go on floors and more details are yet to be announced by the makers.

Speaking about the Tamil remake, recently Kajal Aggarwal had said, “I loved the story ever since I saw the original! But we have to remember that the film, since it was made a couple of years ago, will have to be changed to keep it in sync with the current times.”

The makers of the film and I are very clear that we want to adapt Queen to Southern sensibilities, and do it our own way. While the script will essentially remain the same, the treatment will be personalised. I will also add my own touch to the role,” Kajal Aggarwal added further.

Why are they even remaking Queen? It was a very popular movie down south as well, and most of the audience has already seen the original. On top of that, casting disaster actresses like kajal is only going to ruin it further. No one can match kangana’s charm and talent; this movie should’ve been left alone.

She will be screwed and she will not be remembered.

Hate the title. The movie isn’t about Paris.

Don’t know why Kaajal was casted. Such a natural, performance-oriented role is in Nithya Menen’s territory. On top of that, Kajal is not as popular in Tamil as she is in Telugu, what a disaster this will be!
