Tamizh Padam 2.0 Song: Evada Unna Petha is an artistic sarcasm on soup songs

2010 release Tamizh Padam, a parody film written and directed by C.S.Amudhan, will now have a sequel titled Tamizh Padam 2.0 which will be made by the same director. Produced by S.Sashikanth under the banner YNOT Studios, Tamizh Padam 2.0 will star Shiva, Ishwarya Menon and Disha Pandey in lead roles. The makers had released a poster of the film few months ago and took a jibe at few pirate websites by mentioning the release date of the film in theatres and on those sites which was commended by industry members. The music of Tamizh Padam 2.0 is being composed by Kannan Narayanan who composed music for films like Rendavathu Padam and Karuppampatti. The makers have now released a song from Tamizh Padam 2.0 titled Evada Unna Petha which is a sarcastic take on break ups, soup songs and boys’ behaviour with their exes post breakup. Sung by Ranina Reddy, the lyrics of Evada Unna Petha are penned by C.S.Amudhan and Chandru, and the track is already going viral amongst fans of Tamil cinema. The song was released by R.Madhavan via social media who is a good friend of producer S.Sashikanth. Listen to the song Evada Unna Petha from Tamizh Padam 2.0 here:

Actor Siddharth had released the first look poster of Tamil Padam 2.0 few weeks ago taking a jibe at the pirate website Tamil Rockers. Taking the sarcasm one level up, Siddharth later tweeted saying his Twitter page has hacked and whatever posted during that time was not him. “Sorry my account has been hacked last 6 minutes. I have reported to cyber crime and they solved it. Hackers have released some objectionable tweets. It’s not me. Thank you. #TP2point0,” Siddharth wrote further. This sarcasm on the pirate sites and the piracy of films in Tamil film industry took some time to sink in and a lot of people expressed shocked, initially, after looking at the poster.
