The teaser of Kaala will Not be released today

The eagerly-awaited teaser of Rajinikanth starrer Kaala was supposed to come out today. However, in a last minute change of plan, the release has been pushed by a day. Confirming this, producer Dhanush said that the decision has been taken because of the death of Jayendra Saraswathi.

“Due to the demise of respected Jagadguru Poojyashri Jayaendra Saraswati Shankaracharya, as a mark of respect Kaala teaser will be released on 2nd March. Apologies to all the fans who were eagerly waiting for the teaser,” he said.

In case you did not know, Kaala is touted to be a crime-drama and has been directed by Pa Ranjith. In it, ‘Thalaiva’ will be seen in the role of a gangster. The film has been largely shot in Mumbai and may feature some dialogues in Hindi.  Besides Rajini, it also features Huma Qureshi and Bollywood veteran Nana Patekar in the lead.

Sometime ago, Huma had said Rajini is a terrific person to work with as he is humility personified.

“It’s an amazing experience to work with Rajinikanth. When he walks, everybody becomes silent and make space for him. For me, the most beautiful thing with him is the simplicity he carries. He is such a humble person. I have never seen a superstar who is so humble, who is so simple and down-to-earth,” she had told a leading daily.

Kaala is slated to hit screens this April.

On a related note, this is a busy time for Rajini. Besides Kaala, he also has the magnum opus 2.0 in his kitty. It is a sci-fi thriller and has been directed by S Shankar. It also has Bollywood star Akshay Kumar and Amy Jackson in the lead.

Rajini is also set to enter politics and add a new dimension to his career. While announcing his entry into politics, he had said that his political party would indulge in ‘spiritual politics’ and try to reform the system.
