Kabali actress Sai Dhansika, a day ago, was the target of veteran actor and producer T. Rajender during the press meet of her upcoming film ‘Vizhithiru’ when she missed mentioning his name while speaking and thanking the team. T. Rajender aka TR said that she missed taking his name because she has now acted with Super Star Rajinikanth who is a bigger actor. And during TR’s speech, Dhansika even apologised for missing his name to which there was no response from his end. This left the actress teary-eyed while on stage. And now, her colleagues and friends from industry have stood up for her for taking on the situation boldly.
TFPC President and actor Vishal, specifically, took to social media and extended his support to Dhansika in the case and lauded the actress for the way she carried herself. Vishal posted a statement on his Facebook page which spoke about why he felt it is incorrect to bully someone when they forget a name to mention.
“Just came to know that Director Mr T Rajendran continuously targeted and accused Ms Dhanshika on stage repeatedly for not mentioning Mr TR’s name in the press gathering inspite of Dhanshika apologising to Mr TR. Director TR is a multi talented senior person. It’s very common for a person on stage to miss mentioning names while addressing a gathering. I have myself, forgotten to mention or thank certain people or the ones sitting on the dias in the past. Dhanshika apologised and even fell on Mr TR’s feet, after he pointed her out that she missed mentioning his name. Mr TR didn’t pardon Dhanshika who is as old as his daughter. It’s very difficult for Women to come up in the Cine industry. I know Dhanshika very well and people who knows her know well that she wouldn’t have done anything like this intentionally. I strongly condemn Mr TR for continuously targeting Dhanshika despite the fact that she apologised to him and he could have avoided all this.”
Vishal was in no mood to spare the actors on stage, Vidharth and Krishna, and gave them an understanding of how to deal with situations like these. “Now coming to the point, both you boys, Vidharth & Krishna, I think you guys should have had the least bit of decency not to clap when your own co star was being bullied. Completely not called for, buck up,” Vishal’s statement added further.
