After 30 days of no shootings and 47 days since no new release, the strike in the Tamil film industry was finally called off after successful negotiations between all the parties involved. The TFPC office bearers, including President Vishal, held a meeting on which film to be released first and announced that Karthik Subbaraj directorial Mercury will hit the screens on April 20th, 2018 in Tamil Nadu.
