Thala Ajith to begin with his next film on Sridevi's birth anniversary

Thala Ajith who has geared up for the shooting of his upcoming film Viswasam, will reportedly begin with the shooting of his next film to be produced by Sridevi’s husband Boney Kapoor. To people who don’t know, Sridevi and Ajith worked together in the Tamil version of English Vinglish and managed to impress fans with their brief onscreen interaction. On the late actor’s 55th birthday, Boney Kapoor, her husband, is all set to start Thala Ajith’s next film. As a promise made by Ajith during the shooting of English Vinglish, the action hero has decided to begin with the film’s shoot from today.

The film will be directed by Vinoth who has two hits to his credit, Sathuranga Vettai, and Theeran Adhigaram Ondru. It is being said that Ajith had promised Boney Kapoor to bail out him from his financial crisis. Ajith decided to do his bit for Boney as the Kapoors share a warm relation with Ajith’s family. Thala’s immense respect for Sridevi is the reason why he agreed to work with Boney Kapoor. –

Sridevi passed away on February 24, 2018, and this left fans heartbroken. While initial reports suggested that she died because of a heart attack, it was later on revealed that she died because of accidental drowning in a bathtub.

The veteran actor had been a part of the film world right from childhood and established herself as cinema’s ‘Last Empress’. Her most notable films are Moondram Pirai, Bobbili Puli and 16 Vayathinile to name a few. She also conquered Bollywood and became its first female superstar. Her noteworthy Hindi films include Chandini, Mr. India and Lamhe to name a few.
