Maverick director S Shankar’s ‘2.0’ is arguably one of the biggest films in recent times. Shot against a huge budget and touted to be a sci-fi thriller, it has created quite a buzz amongst movie buffs because of its gripping posters as well superstar Rajini dashing onscreen avatar. A sequel to the 2010 release ‘Enthiran’, it will see K-town’s ‘Thalaiva’ reprise his character from the first part and will hit screens in 2018.

Now, it seems that the buzz surrounding ‘2.0’ is set to reach new heights. In an exciting development, a still from the shoot location of the film is going viral and that too for a terrific reason. In it, Rajini can be seen in his ‘Dr Vasi’ avatar as he relaxes between shots. As usual, the legend looks does full justice to this avatar and seems to be in a relaxed mood. He can be seen discussing something with the crew and appears to be enjoying the conversation a lot. Not surprisingly, he seems to be the centre of all attention and proves that he truly is someone who commands respect. Now, that’s what we call swag!

In case you did not know, ‘2.0’ also features Akshay Kumar and Amy Jackson in the lead. B-town’s ‘Khiladi’ will be seen in a shocking avatar in the film. And, as expected, his ‘crow’ avatar has already become the talk of the town. Akki’s voice in the Hindi version has been altered technologically in order to make it more menacing. Speaking about this, a source had said that the whole process was time-consuming and took a lot of effort.

“Aided by Resul Pookutty, Akshay carefully modulated his voice. Resul worked on technically modifying Akshay’s voice using the state-of-the-art technologies for the film. Previously, Amitabh Bachchan had attempted to work on his voice, in the days of low technical expertise for Agneepath, over two and a half decades ago,” the source had told a daily.

Interestingly, the film’s audio launch took place in October and proved to be quite a spectacle. At the star-studded event, Akshay had said that working on ‘2.0’ was a learning experience for him.

“I have done 130 films (in Bollywood). ‘2.0′ was my 131st film. I can only say that during the making of those 130 films, I got to learn little from every film, but I was learning throughout the shooting of this film. There’s a lot that we have to learn from South because the way they work, we have to understand a lot now. They work in unity and respect each other’s talent, we have to learn that, he had added.

Similarly, Rajini too had spoken at the event and thanked his family for making his journey  a memorable one.

“I don’t even remember how these 40 years passed. It still feels like 4-5 years. If not for god’s grace and the love of my fans, I wouldn’t have come this far. These 40 years have taught me that fame and money only bring minimum happiness. When people ask me is it difficult to be Rajinikanth, I tell them it’s only possible because of my faith in the almighty,” Rajini had said.

He had also asked fans to support good films and not spread negativity on the social media.

“Support good films and encourage good talent. If you don’t like a film, please avoid spreading negativity through social media,” he had added.

On a related note, this is a busy time for Rajini. Besides ‘2.0’, he also has ‘Kaala’ in his kitty. The film is a crime-drama and has been directed by Pa Ranjith. Produced by actor Dhanush, it features Rajinikanth in the role of a gangster and will hit screens after ‘2.0’. In it, the veteran actor will be seen alongside Bollywood diva Huma Qureshi.

Sometime ago, she had said that Rajini is a humble person and working with him was a nice experience.

“It’s an amazing experience to work with Rajinikanth. When he walks, everybody becomes silent and make space for him. For me, the most beautiful thing with him is the simplicity he carries. He is such a humble person. I have never seen a superstar who is so humble, who is so simple and down-to-earth,” she had added.
