According to a leading daily, Shalini Pandey—who has become the talk of the town thanks to Arjun Reddy—may be roped in to replace Lavanya Tripathi in the Tamil remake of ‘100 Percent Love’. Commenting on this, a source said that Shalini has become a sought after name now and wants to experiment with her onscreen image.
“While Shalini has been getting several offers post Arjun Reddy, she has evinced interest in this one as it would be something very different from her first film. Also, being much in demand now, she’s looking to choose wisely,” added the source.
In case you did not know, Lavanya was the original choice for the Tamil remake of ‘100 Percent Love’ but opted out because of some miscommunication between its makers and the team of her Telugu film. Recently, while confirming the same, a source had told DC that she was hurt by this miscommunication and decided to quit both films.
“Without consulting the actress or her manager, both the filmmakers decided everything on their own; so an irked Lavanya walked out of both the films,” the source had added.
On a related, the Tamil version of ‘100 Percent Love’ is titled ‘100 Percent Kadhal’ and is being directed by Chandra Mouli. The debutant is a former assistant of Sukumar. Interestingly, Sukumar had helmed the original Telugu version which had Naga Chaitanya and Tamannaah Bhatia in the lead.
So, are you looking forward to ‘100 Percent Kadhal’? Comments, please!
