Ever since Vidyut Jammwal appeared in the Tamil movie Thuppakki, he has gained numerous fans and followers. The good-looking actor went on to work in Anjaan as well. Now, the actor has been roped in to play the lead in a film directed by Chuck Russell, who has directed films such as The Mask and Eraser. The film will also star veteran Tamil film actor Thalaivasal Vijay, who will be playing the role of Vidyut’s father in the film. The film is an action-adventure that is aimed at spreading awareness about the illegal practice of elephant poaching. Vidyut will be seen playing the lead character named Ashwath, who is born and brought up in the jungles of Kerala. The makers of the film even announced the release date on Twitter, which confirms that the film titled ‘Junglee’ will release on 19th October 2018. Speaking to a leading daily Chuck Russell said ‘ For the first time, I met Vidyut Jammwal, I could imagine no one else in this role. He has a charm & a good humor that is rarely combined with such physicality. In that way, it reminds me of meeting Dwayne Jhonson for the first time, for his leading role on Scorpion King.’ We bet being compared to Dwayne Jhonson has certainly boosted Vidyut’s performance in the movie.’
